Five Favorite Links

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared some interesting, inspiring, or just plain fun things I’ve found while reading some of my favorite blogs and sites- and of course, pinning on Pinterest! Be sure to check out other things I’m pinning by following my Pinterest boards– oh, and if you need an invite, leave a comment with your email and I’ll be sure to send you one.

1. These Red Chili and Cheddar Crackers practically called out to me from this photo. I’m dying to try them- I hope to make them during my Monday baking morning. Oh…and we’re just going to call them cheese crackers at our house…uh-hem.

2. If you’ve been reading here for awhile, you know how I have a goal to get chickens (I know you’re all thinking- “Sheesh! Just get them already!”), so I loved this idea to reuse fence boards for a chicken ladder and in the coop. Lana at I Love My 5 Kids has more ideas, too, and since we always seem to have a few boards lying around, this will probably come in handy when we need ideas!

3. I’ve made a couple of knock-off P.F. Chang lettuce wraps, but Andrea at Green Backs Gal has a recipe that uses the slow-cooker for the filling! Wouldn’t that be a great way to keep the filling warm through a party- uh…like the Superbowl? Love this.

4. If you like Pinterest and you have a blog, Angie at Many Little Blessings wrote about Ways to Increase your Pinterest Followers. I like to have more followers on Pinterest because then I get to see more good stuff!

5. And finally, I laughed out loud as I read this witty post from my blogging friend Cindy’s husband over at Get Along Home. Wonder if any other husbands of bloggers feel this way?

What things are inspiring you lately?

I’ve gotta try that crockpot recipe. I’ve done lettuce wraps a few times, but I still haven’t gotten the authentic P F Chang’s taste yet. Probably won’t, actually, since they’re very tight-lipped about how they do that. I’ll keep trying, though.

Thanks for the linky-love! Hubby will be thrilled you liked it. :-)

Absolutely trying those lettuce wraps. We are not eating breads right now, but I do miss a “sandwich.” A “wrap” is a great alternative! Thanks for sharing!

The crackers look yummy. I may have to try those on my family.
And, yes, you need to get some chickens. They are the easiest “farm” animals to keep. We love our chickens and the eggs they provide are way superior to store bought.

Still haven’t checked out pinterest yet. I keep hearing how addictive it is… not sure I need another thing to keep me on the computer. I’m sure I’ll give in soon… hahaha… I’m curious…
