Put together an easy sugar scrub for a quick pampering gift in a vintage mason jar – pair it with some soft washcloths as a finishing touch.

Sugar scrubs are SO easy to put together making them great gifts for lots of occasions – Christmas (of course), but also birthdays, Mother’s Day, and even wedding showers. But I have to admit, when I first heard about sugar scrubs I was like, huh? Why? Well, you may be interested, like I was, to read in this article that sugar is actually good for your skin.
Sugar in beauty products:
- helps hydrate your skin and keep moisture in
- has an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that penetrates the skin, encouraging cell turnover and generating fresher, younger-looking skin
- exfoliates skin gently (especially brown sugar, which is good for sensitive skin)
I don’t know about you, but after reading this I’m thinking I need to make some of this for me, too! This version with lime and mint seems like it would be so refreshing.
