Brian and I have wanted to shoot a recipe tutorial for you all for awhile now and what better AOC recipe to start with than our soft whole wheat dinner rolls, one of our most popular recipes ever? I have answered a lot of questions about this recipe over the years, but with hundreds of comments, it’s not like most people are going to attempt to wade through them all. From what the dough should look like, to equipment, to adding too much flour – we try to address the most often asked questions and comments in this video.
This is a departure from our other videos – as a recipe tutorial for bread there’s was no way we could keep it under 5 minutes, which is usually our goal, or even under 10 minutes, our goal for multi-step DIY videos. However, we did come in under 13 minutes and in that time we not only show you how I make the recipe, but we also show you:
- what ingredients to use
- what the dough should look like at varying stages
- how to cut and shape the rolls
- some of my tips and tricks
- how to freeze the rolls
We hope you enjoy this soft, 100% whole wheat rolls video – and please let us know what other tutorials from the blog you’d love to see in video form – we’re always open to suggestions!
