Some Garden Pictures

I’ve shared some of the beautiful pictures my daughter has taken before, so I was looking forward to seeing what she captured yesterday when we had a lovely 70 degree and sunny day.
These are cherry blossoms. I think they look spectacular against the blue sky.
This picture might make you think we have a big tree awash in these blooms, but it is the saddest little cherry tree I’ve seen. We planted it a couple of years ago and I don’t think it’s grown at all.
But it does try, bless it’s heart, and puts out enough blooms to at least get a picture of.

The new maple leaves are chartreuse right now, and the composition of this one is really interesting. I don’t know what I like more- the sun light through the leaf or the shadow of the smaller leaf.
These are pretty good so I’m getting excited to see what other great shots she got. I scroll down on the camera and I find this:

Huh. Well. It’s pink and yellow and on a hand. OK, maybe avant-garde…and I just don’t get it.
But then there’s this:

OK, this is just plain weird. What is she trying to say here, do you think? For the life of me, I can’t figure it out.
But it did make me laugh.
This, however, was the piece de resistance:

Nostril, anyone?

Love it! Don’t know which I like better: the light coming through his nostril or the shadow effect at the bottom of the nostril. :)
And I think the bike with shoes totally says SUMMER. Barefoot and riding down hills. The sun in your face. Ahhhh!

Don’t you just love the things kids come up with to take photos of? They sure do see life with a refreshing sense of wonder. My daughter has that same perspective and can come up with some really cool photos. I hope they never lose it, love your blog!
