I love a good DIY project – and projects that revive things we own or find are the best. Saving money and saving things from the landfill just make it that much better! When I was asked by Hometalk to curate a board full of outdoor furniture fixes for patio furniture that had seen better days, I couldn’t wait to dig in and see what others had done to upcycle their furniture.
From my own experience painting our outdoor umbrella (which gained us not just the one more season I thought it would, but FOUR more summers, until it developed holes), I knew that a lot could be done with paint. And I did find some great examples of painting outdoor furniture – complete with cushions! I also found out how to clean your furniture so it looks new again, how to add a different top to a table base, how to create furniture from pallets, and more.
