It’s time for some quick-and-easy DIY holiday gifts in our 31 days of handmade gifts series! While I’m committed to sharing handmade gift ideas that most people can do, I realize that not everyone knows how to knit or has a sewing machine for pillows and toys. I did promised something for everyone, however, so we’ve also had stenciling, glittering – and LOTS more to come, like these adorable tags you can use on foods and candles.
For this idea, there is a choice of 3 quick gifts to put together with the free printable tags:
- Hot cocoa + tag. You can buy cocoa (but there’s a lot of junk in most store-bought mixes) or easily make your own hot cocoa mix like I show here.
- Scent + tag. Buy a candle-in-a-jar, make your own candle using thrifted glass, or mix up some potpourri & add to a mason jar.
- Cookie Dough + tag. There is a link included with the printable to make your own which is a fun way to give cookies at the holidays so that they can be enjoyed at anytime.
These are all so easy that you can have the whole family help put them together (hey, that sounds like a family tradition starting…). I think it would be fun to invite another family or two and have a ‘gift making night’ where you’d play holiday music and come out at the end with gifts to give to people. Fun and useful – those are the kinds of things to keep on your busy holiday calendars, right?
