Today I’m continuing our look down our diy remodeling memory lane here at AOC by sharing updated photos and links to read all about how we transformed our great room from a dark and dreary place to a light and bright space we enjoying being in! You can go here to see why I’m updating these old posts, but I’m happy to see that there’s just one more remodeling post to update before I can create an ‘Our Cottage Tour’ page, which will fulfill the first of my 2014 goals, hooray!
The original footprint of our 1982 rancher is basically a great room, three bedrooms and two baths. The great room consists of an entry, dining room, kitchen and living room. The living room is divided from the other rooms with a half wall and a step down. The first week we owned the house we lived in a trailer while we sprayed almost the entire inside white, removed wallpaper, replaced most of the lighting and hardware and a few other things. Six months later, we converted the garage into more rooms, which you can see here.
Here’s a look at some of the living areas remodeled with links to the original post and some updates since then:
Whew, looking at these photos always makes me realize how far we’ve come – and how much I like the changes! Stay tuned for more…
