Here are some of the cool things I found this week around the web– things I want to do now, some later, and three things I’ve earmarked for the Thanksgiving weekend (oh, and if you’d like to see some more things I’m bookmarking, come see my boards at Pinterest!):
1. I have all the things – including an awesome old, carved. oval frame – to make this monogram picture from Love of Family and Home right away.
I love it – I think it looks like something from Pottery Barn or Anthropologie – and it will look great in the living room along with our burlap-covered chairs and ottoman. And it’s simple too, wha-hoo!
2. I don’t know when I’ll use this easy tutorial to transfer an image to a piece of furniture that The Graphics Fairy posted, but I’m definitely bookmarking it, because I hope to find a table top one day that this will work on. Isn’t it a fun look?
And here are the things I am making for sure (or as sure as I can ever be *smile*) over the Thanksgiving weekend:
Hmmm….I see a theme here – and it’s most definitely not pumpkin!
4. One of my favorite things about cooking a big turkey is using the leftover meat in dishes like this Turkey Tetrazzini from PW. One word: Yum!
5. The Saturday after Thanksgiving is our family’s traditional day to start our Christmas decorating. We do everything but the tree, which we save for the following weekend in the hopes it won’t be a dried, brown thing by the time Christmas Day rolls around, because, yes we still get a live tree – we live in Oregon after all!
So I’m thinking that will be the perfect day to try my hand at creating a Music Sheet Wreath like this one from Miss Mustard Seed with all the old music books I’ve been collecting the past few months.
Whew– here’s hoping all these things come to fruition! I think I’ll keep you posted on our Facebook Page– maybe that’ll be the accountability I need to actually finish some of these projects (in addition to the great links I mentioned last week, uh-hum…)
What do you have on tap for the Thanksgiving weekend?
