Mix salts with a variety of different flavors and package them in matching containers for gourmet flavored salt sets any foodie will love.

Isn’t this flavored salt set such a great idea? I mean, who doesn’t use salt! And how special to have flavored salts made with quality ingredients. While this doesn’t reuse something like some of the other gift ideas in this series (although…you could reuse jars to package them up!), food gifts that are useable and don’t add more clutter to our lives rank right up there with reusing items in my book.
Make DIY Flavored Salt Sets
While the recipes linked to above call for kosher salt, it would be really special to use other salts, too. Maybe a Grey Celtic Sea Salt with rosemary or a Pink Himalayan coarse salt with roasted garlic, or a fine real sea salt mixed with pepper for a table salt.
In fact, I found this cool infographic put out by SheKnows to share with you that has a huge number of different flavored salt combinations you can choose from – I had no idea there were so many options!
You can make this gift your own by using cute matching containers like the set pictured above (this set is really cute, too, and comes with matching spoons), mason jars with vintage or reproductions zinc lids, or even upcycle some found jars, painting the lids to match.
I love this idea and hope you do, too!
