H&M Home has been my ‘secret’ source for affordable farmhouse cottage style for awhile and I’m sharing some of my favorite cute storage and decor items you can find online.
You guys, even though I don’t have my own house right now, I can’t help but look at one of my favorite secret online spots for farmhouse cottage style decor: H&M Home. Every time I mention H&M for home decor I get blank looks- “Isn’t that just clothes?”
Which is probably because in the stores (at least any where I live) it IS just clothes. In this case all the action is online. Which is good – that’s where I do most of my shopping anyway! Plus, there is usually free shipping with a $40 purchase (and there are often free shipping with any purchase weekends) and you can return to stores for free. So, why would we want to battle crowds and lines again?
You’ll find some things that are more modern in style, but there is a LOT of items that work for all kinds of decor like country cottage, modern farmhouse, French cottage, and more. If you get my newsletter, you will already have seen some of H&M’s latest sale items (you can sign up here if you don’t – there’s lots of good stuff I only share with my VIP readers AND you get access to the subscriber-only library). I also shared some of my favorite cheap things for the kitchen in this edition of the Three Things.
But I can’t stop – and I just may have saved the best for now because I wish I could buy all these farmhouse cottage style storage and decor items! This is what happens when I decide to “peek for just a minute” to see what new things have come to the H&M site, ha!
Since I can’t buy them all (even if I had a house right now to put them in!), the next best thing is to share them with you. Maybe you will find the bin, box, or rug that will make your heart happy – and rest assured, the prices definitely will. All the years we have had H&M I hadn’t realised there was an H&M Home line. Will be checking it out next time I’m in the City had a quick look online and they have a good range here too at good prices, not that I need new things, still decluttering the old, it’s nice to look though. Thanks for the tip.

I know, it was like a treasure when I first found it online, Julie. Sometimes it’s nice to get rid of something I’m tired of to make way for a new thing. 😉
