The 18 Most Popular Recipes of 2017 (+Meal Planning Challenge!)

AOC's most popular recipes of 2017 chosen by…you! Nine of the most visited recipes published in 2017 and nine from all-time - see if yours made the list or find a new one you missed.

AOC’s most popular recipes of 2017 chosen by…you! Nine of the most visited recipes published in 2017 and nine from all-time. #recipes #popular #food

Here we are on the cusp of a new year (2018 - crazy!) and the tradition here (and in blogland in general) is to recap the year and look towards the future. I especially like to do this as a way to figure out what you guys like so I can create more content that you will find useful and solve issues you may have (like what to make for healthy dinners, and pantry basics you can make at home).

It's also a way for me to evaluate the health of the blog and find the older articles that people are visiting that I need to update or refresh.

What's in it for you? Many readers have commented in past "best of" articles that they were happy I brought things to their attention that they had missed from the previous year. Other newer readers have said that they appreciated seeing older recipes that they didn't know lived on AOC.

So, basically, this can serve as a way for you to grab a new recipe (or idea from the soon-to-be-published DIY & Gardening best-of list) for you to start the new year with. Who knows? One of these may just become one of your personal popular recipes, too!

    Not One, But TWO Lists

Below you will find two lists, one highlighting the nine most popular recipes that were published (or updated with new photos) in 2017 and one that lists the top nine recipes from the beginning of AOC - which will be celebrating a 9-year blogging anniversary in February!

Now, a few of my categories are a bit arbitrary: should how to freeze green beans without blanching go into top recipes or top gardening & DIY? It's food, but it's a how-to without an actual recipe. The same thing with canning recipes (garden produce + how-to), but since there is a recipe to follow, I've added them to this recipe list.

If you look at last year's recipe and DIY lists, you will see that the freezing produce articles are included in the DIY list, but this year I included them in the recipe lists. They just seem in the spirit of recipes although there are no printable recipes to follow. Ahhh, the dilemmas of a blogger, right?

I hope you will let me know what your favorite recipes are from any year - I love to hear that you are using and finding success in your cooking journey with the help of my recipes and tips!
