    Summer Gardening Guide Free eBook

Don't let the summer heat rob you of all your garden work through the spring! Use this free summer gardening guide to help you create easy systems and tasks to keep you garden thriving through the summer months.

Gardening in the summer. I know first hand how easy it is to get discouraged when the third (fourth, fifth...) week of soaring temperatures makes you want to ignore the browning and thirsty garden. When I first started gardening I thought that was the way it had to be.

But then I realized that a little planning and basic regular, doable tasks could help to keep the garden looking good through the hotter months so that it would still look good come fall. Sometimes the summer "water triage" just manages to keep everything holding on until the first cooler days of autumn when the garden catches it's second wind. And the reward is another few months of food, flowers, and beauty. #worthit

I've written a number of articles here to address these summer gardening issues, including giving tips on watering, planting containers so they last through the season, and pruning to ensure fall color, among others.

    Summer Gardening Guide

One of the past articles was titled Your Guide to Summer Garden Success Through the Heat and it seemed the perfect base for the newest addition to AOC's VIP Subscriber Library - a 10-page Summer Gardening Guide eBook!

In this free ebook you'll find an expanded summer garden guide with tips and easy techniques for:

    • watering
    • the tasks you need to accomplish
    • a couple tips to keep pests away
    • planning for the fall garden

My hope is that you will be inspired to keep going in your garden with enthusiasm, knowing that the season will pass. With a little effort invested, you can make sure your garden keeps giving all the way to your first frost!

How do I get the ebook download?

If you already subscribe to AOC's email list (which includes a Weekly Newsletter that readers have told me they can't wait to read, and very occasional offers I think you'd appreciate), you can grab this new download at any time in the Subscriber Library. It's right along with all the other printables, ebooks, and dinner ideas you'll find in the library.

If you'd like to become a subscriber and gain access to the Summer Gardening Guide ebook as well as ALL the freebies in the library, simply fill out the form below:

I'd love for you to join our AOC community! One of my most favorite things is sharing emails with readers who respond to the newsletter - it reminds me of the "old" days of blogging when people would leave more comments and you could get to "know" them. 🙂

What do I do with the download once I'm in the Library?

Once you're in the Library, you can click on any of the images to the files that look interesting and they will open in a new window. You can read right there and/or download to your computer for longer storage. Once you see the file on your desktop, from there you can:

    1. Click on the file and it will open with your computer's pdf reader. Read right on your computer.
    2. Transfer your file to a tablet or your phone through an app like Send to Kindle. This is my favorite for ease - you can then read any pdf files through the Kindle app!
    3. Print your ebook. Select “print” from the File command on the top menu bar or click the printer icon (you can also choose to print right when the file opens from the Library - you've got choices!).

If you know someone who'd appreciate summer gardening help, I'd love it if you'd share this blog page with them so they can sign up to access the library on their own (In other words, please don't pass the PDF files along to anyone - they are for your exclusive use only. Thank you!). Or simply help by sharing on Pinterest or Facebook using the sharing icons on this page - that is always a great way to give back a little to help keep me producing content you love on AOC!

I'd love to hear from you, too! Let me know if this is helpful, what else you'd like to see in the Subscriber Library, or any of your tips for beating the summer gardening slump.
