The classic Flexible Planner - the journaling-traditional planner hybrid - in the academic version that runs from August through July. Perfect for students, teachers, or anyone who wants to use late summer and fall to plan, organize, and regroup. If you feel like this is your "second New Year" then this is the planner for you!
I have been so happy with the positive response to The Flexible Planner that was launched in January of 2018. I just knew there were people like me out there who appreciated all the creativity that could be found in the Bullet Journal® system, but who didn't want to be tied down to recreating the same spreads over and over.
Although I totally get those who do love to be creative and flex their artistic muscles by adding color and flair to their blank pages - or even those who want very minimalist spreads like the original bullet journal system - I wanted the best of both worlds. Done-for-you pages that still could be customized.
Which is what I've created in The Flexible Planner - both for me and for you.
And while I know that it's been working for me wonderfully (yep, I've used a version of the panner for a number of years now), it's been a THRILL to hear how it is working for those of you who've purchased The Flexible Planner!
Here are just a few of comments from happy planners:
I started using the Bullet Journal last year and found it very helpful. But your Flexible Planner is a definite improvement. I love having the printable pages ready to go so I don’t have to get out the ruler and create the monthly grids. And there’s plenty of room available to write in all my daily tasks. Plus I find using a binder with tabs is much handier. You’ve come up with a great product. Thank you for making my life easier.
The concept of the Flexible Planner is a really nice way to take the things I like about bullet journaling (the ability to set up my calendar the way I need/want, lists to organize information, and pages to journal on) with the things I like about a standard calendar planner--namely, a monthly calendar and a pre-set design that allows me to spend more time writing/planning than setting up every week. I like the monthly divider page; the empty space under the month name is a great place to write an inspiring quotation or Scripture verse that I can be thinking about. And I just wanted to mention how much I appreciate how there are sections for writing goals all over the place--not just at the beginning of the planner! It really helps you to hone in on what you want/need to do.
I really love this planner - and I have used a lot! It gives me so much room to write everything...from our meal plan to events...homeschool tasks and general to do stuff. I was looking at planners while shopping for school supplies and none of them really compare to what you have designed in the Flexible Planner.
Why an Academic Version of The Flexible Planner?
There are a few reasons why I felt we should offer an academic version:
- While there are always undated versions in The Flexible Planner files for the most, uh, flexibility (see how I did that?), I prefer the dated versions - it's just one less thing to fill in, right?
- I know there are many people who prefer planning August through July, either for school, teaching, or just because it makes sense for them in their stage of life.
- I've even heard August referred to as the "second new year" since it's another great time to evaluate, plan, and make goals.
What's New With This Flexible Planner Academic Version?
The meat of the planner is the same as the original Flexible Planner.
You will receive a digital folder with:
- Black and white files of both the academic August-July 2019-20 planner and the undated files.
- A Fast Start Guide with printing and goal-setting helps.
- Monthly divider pages.
- Bonus daily planner page.
The only difference is the August-July dated pages instead of January-December.
You'll also get a totally updated cover:
We went a little more subtle, but still a bit fun this time around. While the plaid design can be printed out in color, it also works as a black and white print, too.
Like in the past, the cover will come in its own folder to make it easier to print, or have printed, separately from the main planner. This will save money on professional printing - if the cover was included with the planner, you'd have to have the entire file printed in color just to get the first page, which would increase the price.
Even if you're printing at home, it is easier to print one page as a color print and then print the black and white pages separately.
Does it Still Cost the Same As The Flexible Planner?
Yes - you get all the files mentioned and the new cover for just $12!
