Well it’s finally here, friends – the first Tuesday Garden Party of the 2014 gardening season! And I don’t think I’m alone in saying that I could. not. be. more. ready. for. spring. Right?
Unfortunately, I must confess that I am woefully unprepared – I don’t even have any seeds planted yet! My goal is this week
for sure hopefully. Sigh.
However, I did get something gardening-related done, although it didn’t involve any dirt or plants. In addition to the gardening landing page I reveal last week, I’m also working my way through the vegetable gardening 101 series, updating the photos and reformatting the posts. This series was written during the first year of the blog, five years ago. Consequently, the photos are tiny (we’re not even going to talk about the quality, ha!) and the paragraphs are wordy. But the content is still what I do to this day and worth a little spiffing up.
So I’m happy to report that the first of these posts is completely updated with a pinnable image and more information including a list of 10 steps to starting a vegetable garden. Go here to see the Vegetable Garden Series Part 1: Get Started Gardening in all it’s brand spanking new-ness.
Oh, and that picture? That’s how our garden started 10 years ago – as a pasture. I can’t believe how far it’s come! (you can go here to see what this same space looked like last July).
I’m needing some early spring inspiration, it seems, so I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve all got growing now.
