With most of our gardens in full swing (I love June, don’t you?) it’s been so inspiring to see what your gardens look like – what you’re growing, what new things you’re trying and always my favorite – how your gardens are designed. They just get the wheels of my brain spinning (ha, as if I needed more projects to do – I think I just need to concentrate on June’s garden chores before I take on anything else!). Here are just a few highlights from last week’s Tuesday Garden Party:
I was absolutely taken with Pattie’s “Deck Potager” at Olla-Podrida – this is a perfect example of using what space you have to grow both food and flowers, and in this case together!
When I read somewhere (G+? FB? I can’t remember now…) that Shelly at Frugal Family Home was rehabbing raised beds, I asked her please to share it – and I’m so glad she did! We have to redo ours in the next year, so being able to see how it’s done is a great help.
Every time Tracie at Fishtail Cottage shares a link, I just sigh in awe of her garden space – it’s so lovely. And that chicken coop? What a focal point – and the coop got a min-makeover that she shared this last week, complete with a sign and garden decor (yep, for the coop and run!).
I loved this sweet little path that Teacups in The Garden created to make reaching the hose valve easier – plus tips for picking out flagstone. I thought it was brilliant that they chose the stones by laying them out in the path right there at the stone center, that way they bought only what they needed!
I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve got for us this week!
