While not the all-out decorating extravaganza of Christmas, Spring decorating has it’s own sweet spot, doesn’t it? Adding some touches of spring to a few areas of our homes is so welcomed after the bleak winter. In fact I would guess many of you are like me and actually craving something bright and cheerful. And preferably from nature. Spring is about new growth and waking up from winter’s dark days.
A new wreath, table centerpiece, or mantel full of flowers reminds us that spring and summer with their warmth, blooms, and potential for outdoor activities is coming. And by “potential” I’m thinking specifically of spring in the Pacific Northwest where the rain is as abundant as the blossoms. Pretty, but not really great for picnics and baseball games, though die-hard PNWer’s still try.
