The 2021 version of our free printable monthly calendar is available early enough so that you can start planning and organizing when you want!
My daughter again designed the pages, this time choosing fun & unique designs in different colors for each month.
We deliberately chose a calendar style that is big enough to write in the spaces with no extras to interfere (like the tiny calendars at the bottom of some that I’ve never used) in a vertical format.
Why a vertical format?
I find vertical calendars more flexible than horizontal formats.
When using in a binder, you don’t need to turn it to view, and I love using them on clipboards for portability and hanging on a wall. They hang nicer on a fridge with a magnet, too.
How to Use A Calendar Printable
You might be wondering how you might use these calendar pages.
Even though I love The Flexible Planner and how it has helped me consolidate a bunch of information into one place, having a visual calendar that I can refer to is still really useful.
Monthly calendar pages can be used for:
- Birthdays and events
- Menus
- Keeping track of school activities
- Monitoring work projects
- Anything you want to plan for yearly
Using With Clipboards: Like I mentioned, my favorite way to use the pages is to clip them to vintage (or reproduction) wooden clipboards (here’s a set of 6 for a good price).
I keep one near me with the current month and like to have three more months visible on a wall in my office to have a larger picture of this site’s content and planning (now just to get that office done in the farmhouse fixer so that I can have this again!).
Using With A Binder: Putting them all into a binder is the classic option, of course, which is still a good idea for organizing birthdays, events, and school things. You can find pretty binder options in An Oregon Cottage’s Amazon Shop.
Using With Magnets: These also make great menus – just use a magnet to stick them to the fridge and fill in the days so everyone knows the answer to the “what’s for dinner” question (this is a super cute set of farmhouse magnets or use these fun magnets that look like push pins).
