Easy Soup Recipes for Fall
When the weather turns cool, nothing makes me happier than a pot of homemade soup! These easy soup recipes for fall include comforting favorites like homemade tomato soup (an all-time fav), corn and sausage chowder, slow cooker Italian beef soup, a savory tomato seafood stew, and more to keep dinner warm and simple.

While I’m an avowed summer girl with my favorite meal consisting of a big salad eaten outside, my next favorite seasonal food is soup all fall and winter. I guess it’s sort of a warm salad situation?
I’m always cold, so I love how warm and comforting soups are, but I also LOVE soups for more reasons:
- They are economical, often using small amounts of more expensive things like meats so you can stretch it to feed more people.
- They can reduce kitchen waste – making a vegetable soup is a perfect way to use up all the odds-and-ends you may have lingering in your kitchen.
- They are mostly hands-off – after prepping the ingredients, it can just simmer on a stove, in a slow cooker, or in an Instant Pot.
- They are endlessly adaptable – once you learn the basics (most soups are a combo of broth, veggies, protein, and seasonings), you can easily make up your own soup with literally anything you have on hand (and it will taste good!).
For all these reasons they are my go-to dinner option at least once a week when the weather gets cooler, and often more. So in the spirit of all things soup, here’s a list of the recipes that will be making an appearance on our menus over the next few months – all take 15 to 30 minutes of prep and many are done completely in just 30 minutes.
Let me know which ones you make!
