Cleaning Concentrates Kit & Why To Use Concentrates

Have you ever wondered about cleaning concentrates? Find out what they are, why to use them and the three reasons I started using concentrates and why I think you may, too!

Have you used cleaning concentrates? Wondered what they are? Here’s a simple definition:

A cleaning concentrate is a product that you buy in a highly condensed form and then dilute with water to use.

While I’ve known about concentrated cleaning supplies, it always seemed to me that they were more for industrial settings – or places that would use the large bottles the concentrates always seemed to come in. I’ve really never seen the need for a gallon-sized bathroom cleaner concentrate, honestly.

So when I first discovered the small tubes of cleaning concentrates from Grove, I thought it was kind of brilliant: no huge container to store and you just squeeze the contents into a bottle, add water and it’s ready!

But the biggest reason I’m loving these concentrates is the fact that each concentrate is made with plant-derived ingredients and essential oils, so I can feel good about using them in my home.

You can go here to check out all the different types of concentrates Grove offers, from Tub and Tile to Multi-Purpose.

3 Reasons to Start Using Cleaning Concentrates

As I’ve used these concentrates I’ve found three reasons why they’re great for any size household:

  1. They are easy to use and contain non-toxic cleaning agents.
  2. There is less waste with the small tubes and reusable bottle (and with microfiber towels vs. paper towels), saving money & time from buying plastic bottles (and paper towels) you throw away.
  3. The concentrates clean really well as-is, but you also have the option to add less water for even more cleaning power (like with the tub and tile).

How To Use Grove Concentrates Cleaners

Since I did wonder when I first saw these how to use them specifically, I thought I’d give you a quick tutorial to show how easy it is to start using them.

Twist cap off concentrates

Twist the cap off tube to break it open.

Fill bottle with concentrate

Fill a bottle with all the contents of the tube.

Cleaning concentrate mixed with water

Fill the bottle with water and discard the tube.

That’s it. Now you have your cleaning kit ready to go, full of a quality, non-toxic cleaner that’s 20% less than comparable brands.

  1. I started ordering from The Grove last year when you mentioned them in one of your posts- and I LOVE them! I’ve recommended a product that they now carry-Bee Wraps! I order from them monthly! I did try the concentrated cleaners and they work pretty well- especially the glass cleaner. My favorite products are the silicone wrapped bottles- I use essential oils to make linen spray and for the concentrate cleaners- and I order the walnut scrubbers, Caldrea Ginger Pomelo dish soap and hand soap, and Seventh Generation Free and Clear fabric softener and laundry detergent. AND I love my free shipping and changing my delivery dates to work with my travel schedule! Thanks SO much for this referral, Jami!

    1. Yay! I do remembering you saying this, Michele, and I’m glad you are still loving them. I agree, obviously that it is so easy. šŸ™‚ I did grab some of those bee wraps – really cool. I like using them for cut fruits, onions, etc. I haven’t tried the Caldrea – I will have to look into that!
