11 of AOC's top garden and DIY projects from 2016 - everything from why to grow cucumbers on a trellis to how to make the best flaxseed pillows.
For today's installment of the year-end "best of" lists, I'm brining you the most popular garden and DIY articles for 2016 (according to Google), which also happen to be the top of all time. In fact, the tutorial for how to freeze green beans without blanching has been one of my biggest articles for years and continues to be popular every summer as the beans are coming in.
And to think I almost didn't write it because it wasn't the "right" way to freeze them!
Although you may be thinking, like I did, "is this a recipe or a garden project?" Obviously I decided this year to include freezing recipes in the top garden posts because it's all about preserving from your garden. But I'm really on the fence about that because (as I write this!) it makes less sense, since I included canning recipes in the top recipes list and that is preserving from the garden, too.
Oh well - hopefully you'll be able to get past the wishy-washiness of this list and on to the projects and tutorials themselves!

Jamie, I always enjoy looking at your photos of the Oregon Cottage Garden - so neat - just love it. Sadly here in S.India I do not have a garden (even all my plants on the terraces have died) anymore, so you can imagine how I long at times to be back in my beautiful garden in England, where I grew plenty of herbs etc. but no vegetables 🙂 🙂

Wow, that would be a big change to go from an English climate to a Southern India one! I'm glad look at our pictures helps bridge the gap a bit. 🙂
