Top Recipes for 2016 from An Oregon Cottage blog

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! Ours was really nice and we got to spend some sweet times with family and friends.

As I do each year around this time I like to recap the previous year’s best content – it helps me to see what you guys have enjoyed the most and found helpful, plus it’s a great way to get the articles in front of any newer readers. AOC has three main content areas: food, gardening, and DIY projects, but I’ve really been trying to focus on food and recipes this last year so I’ve decided to share just two “Best Of” lists for 2016: Top Recipes (here) and Top Gardening & DIY Projects (later this week).

Of course, I’ll also be sharing my annual goals recap + new goals plus the top books I read in 2016 (you can see last year’s top reads here), so you can look for those in the next few weeks as well.

So, on to the most popular recipes of 2016 on An Oregon Cottage (according to Google). You’ll actually find TWO lists below, each counting down to the #1 recipe:

  • Top 11 Recipes in 2016
  • Top 11 Recipes of All Time (well, this blog’s life anyway!)

Why 11? Just to change it up, I guess! I hope you will let me know what were YOUR favorite recipes – especially if they didn’t make the lists!

  1. I love the wrap-up posts; I’m always reminded of things I want to try – in this case, sourdough bread! I have tried before and failed; I think because our house is so cold and I don’t have the usual “warm spots” (or lights in the oven) to compensate. (I was happy to be patient but at some point the starter smelled so strange that I thought it must be off!) But you’ve inspired me to try again; your bread looks so delicious and you have great tips – thanks!
