Podcast Ep. 14: The Baking Show + Easy Baking Recipes You Can Make
In this episode, we discuss how Jami got her reputation as a baker in high school and how she has used plates of cookies to get on people’s good side. (It works!) We tell the (funny now) disaster story of when the dog (yep, our dog who we realized has starred in most of our podcast stories!) got into a fancy cake baked for a catered event. The best part, though, may be when we reveal some of the easiest, most popular baked goods that everyone loves. Plus, Brian shares a kid movie that he really enjoyed and Jami shares a book all about personalities and how knowing this helps us relate to each other (that sounds boring, but it’s actually good stuff!).

Easy Baking Recipes
Story #1

The (infamous?) cookie bar that caused the uh, interesting, reaction from Brian when we were dating. Seriously, what’s there not to love in this classic mixture of a chocolate and peanut butter flavored cookie?
See the recipe for Peanut Butter Swirl Bars here.
Story #2

This was one of the cakes that Jami made for the Christmas dinners her brother catered. Everyone LOVED it (along with the others varieties made over three holiday seasons). Including the dog. Whomp.
See the recipe for Peanut Butter Chocolate Celebration Cake here (yes, it really is easy, believe it or not).

This is Really Cool!
Brian: Paddington (bear) live action movie- surprisingly great for the whole family!
Jami: Reading People by Anne Bogel– this is a book to buy to reference again and again, not only for yourself, but to help you relate to your people. It’s clear and written in a way so that we can all understand personalities and the tests used to determine them.

Jami and Brian, this may be my most FAVORITE pod cast! I love how y’all “play off each other”. And it’s all so real! This was a delight to listen to. Jami, you’re right, I peeked at the recipes and so far have taken one. But I’m not done yet!
My family LOVES the “Paddington” moive–cute, cute, cute! Nothing awful, no embarrassing moments, just cuteness all over the place. I understand a sequel is coming out soon–woo-hoo! Okay, I ‘m off to get more recipes. Y’all, keep up the excellent work. I really like your podcasts! Have a blessed day.
